We would like to invite you to try out a new product from True Knowledge: Quiz Bot.
The idea behind Quiz Bot is to make our question answering service very easy to use and accessible to anyone.
Like the True Knowledge beta site, Quiz Bot is a service that can give direct fact-based answers to questions put to it on (potentially) any subject. What makes Quiz Bot different is that the focus is 100% on question answering; features such as knowledge addition and the need to open an account aren't present on Quiz Bot. In fact the entire functionality of Quiz Bot is on one web-page:
quizbot.trueknowledge.com
We would love to hear your thoughts on Quiz Bot, please leave us feedback as comments on this blog post.
We hope you enjoy Quiz Bot.

I asked a question using Quiz Bot that it didn't know. I then decided to add that fact to TK, however, Quiz Bot still doesn't know the answer. It would be nice if it could either update in real-time or include a notice that recent additions won't be visible immediately and perhaps how long it will be before the next cache refresh.

Hi Vincent,
Facts submitted to True Knowledge are instantly accessible to Quiz Bot.
Is the question you are asking working on True Knowledge now?...if so do you have to do any disambiguation to get the answer?
Cheers,
Nick - Community Manager - True Knowledge
p.s.
True Knowledge's founder is on BBC radio 4 right now - will be talking about Quiz Bot - listen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/playlive/bbc_radio_fourfm/

My question was unanswered too!
I notice also that you have a typo in the blog post?
"If Quiz Bot can't answer it, it may be that [ you we ]don't have the necessary knowledge yet."

When I hear the name quiz bot I thought is was something like http://www.20q.net/ where you could play while adding to the knowledge base.
I actulay don't see the point of quiz bot over TK.
Yes, quiz bot have a nicer interface.
You write that:
"It is designed to help us understand the kind of questions that people ask"
But that can you also learn from tk.
If you expect the users to help develop your knowledge base I think it is important the they also have access to the data from the quiz bot.
If the goal is to develop the knowledge base then it is also important to track which question is not understood and is not know by the quiz bot.
So, my suggestion is that you count those questions also.
And maybe draw a graph of the rations over time. so, the users get a sense of progress.

Hi Equanimous,
Thanks for your feedback.
The True Knowledge site is our main focus. Quiz Bot is meant to be a way of exposing our technology to the general public (no registration) in a form that anyone can use (easy UI) so we can get an even larger number of questions running through the system each day.
For now only True Knowledge beta users can help us expand our knowledge base, which is why we are so focused on developing our beta site.
Thanks,
Nick
